What do you do when you disagree with your partner, your friend, or your advisor? Do you dig your heels in? Do you run away? Do you stop in your tracks? Does it matter if there is a power differential? Thinking about how you manage conflict – and how others manage conflict – can be critical in helping you figure out a reasonable path forward. When interacting in a professional setting, we are likely to run into misunderstandings and communication failures. When this happens relationships at work can suffer and communication breakdowns can result in significant loss of productivity and time wasted in trying to repair damaged relationships. Understanding how we react- do we fight, flee, fawn or freeze can help us choose alternate ways of responding in times of conflict. Understanding the reactions of others can also help us in navigating conflict to arrive a place of resolution. Join Shahnaz Khawaja and learn more.

After this training participants will be able to:

1-Identify their own reactive style

2-Learn ways to respond effectively instead of reacting instinctively

3- Learn about the importance of emotion regulation in resolving conflict
