Mobile Health & HIT Tools for Research: An Interactive Workshop for Investigators
Presented by Arlene Chung, MD, MHA, MMCi Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics, UNC School of Medicine
Interested in incorporating mobile health or health information technology (text messaging, sensors/devices, informatics tools, etc.) into your research study, but not sure how to choose the best one?
This workshop is designed to help investigators determine which technologies may be the best for their intervention or outcomes of interest and provide feedback about potential logistical, technical, and end-user support issues. This workshop will consist of brief presentation followed by small group activities. We will also provide participants with suggestions for which grants that may be a good fit for their research idea. We hope it is also a great networking activity for participants to facilitate future collaborations!
In order to tailor the workshop and to group individuals based upon interests, we require a short (1- 2 page) description of your project, the technologies you are potentially interested in using (if you are not sure about specific devices or tech, you can mention what you are looking for the technology to accomplish), and study aims. Please email your project descriptions to CDTR Program Manager, Kelley Cardone at kelley_cardone@med.unc.edu
Junior investigators will have priority, but investigators at all stages are welcome.
