Jonathan Anomaly will give a presentation titled, "why we should legalize all recreational drugs -- especially heroin".

More on his presentation:

Governments around the world have sent millions of people to prison for the use and sale of recreational drugs, and have spent trillions of dollars to finance their efforts.  But use of recreational drugs hasn't changed very much, and the social costs associated with drug prohibition continue to rise.  In this talk, I'll give an overview of some influential arguments for drug prohibition, review the results of Portugal's recent decriminalization of drugs, and try to facilitate discussion about the moral dimensions of drug use, and drug prohibition.

This event will take place in Hyde Hall (Incubator room), from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. This event is free and open to all; registration is kindly required.
