This workshop is strongly recommended for academic researchers who submit investigator initiated protocols to the IRB. The goals of this training are to improve research quality and avoid IRB deferrals. The workshop will identify the major issues that often lead to IRB deferral, including lack of a statistical plan or a master protocol, and offer ways to improve the quality of the research and IRB application. Presenters at the workshop will include statisticians, regulatory experts and a member of the scientific review subcommittee of the IRB. For questions, please contact Marie Rape, 919-966-6844.
This workshop is sponsored by the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences (NC TraCS) Institute, the integrated home of the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) program at UNC-CH.
