The Finance Division of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will host a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) workshop entitled "Compliance-gaining: Enhancing Credibility and Utilizing Persuasive Skills for Change" from 12:30pm-4:30pm on November 15th in the Toy Lounge in Dey Hall (Room 409). This event is open to the UNC-Chapel Hill community.  You are encouraged to register early. 

This course meets the NC State Board requirements for North Carolina CPAs to obtain four (4) CPE credits. 

The presenter will be Charlynn Ross.  Ms. Ross is a retired Communication Department instructor and administrator from UNC Charlotte and currently teaches as an adjunct at Meredith College. She presents on a variety of topics to academic institutions and companies throughout the state.  This session will be devoted to perfecting persuasive skills through the steps of successful compliance-gaining.

Through discussion and engagement activities, Ms. Ross encourages participants to become transformational leaders in the workplace by examining persuasion theory and choosing the best practices and skills to advocate for positive change. Participants are encouraged to bring examples of persuasive challenges to the session.

The fee for the class is $35.  Unfortunately, we are unable to refund registration fees regardless of time of cancellation. Registrants can pay via check or chartfield string. If you are paying via chartfield string, you must enter the entire chartfield string in the free form UNC Account field on the Registration page at the time of registration.
