"Scientific Writing from the Reader's Perspective" is a writing workshop taught by Dr. George Gopen.  Dr. Gopen is a retired Professor of the Practice of Rhetoric and Senior Lecturing Fellow in the Department of English and the School of Law at Duke University.  The approach to the course is based on a single idea: Learning to write for the reader allows the writer to control what readers learn.  Dr. Gopen's workshops have changed participants' writing habits permanently, often resulting in improved grant writing success.

Registrants must be able to commit the entire day to this workshop.

Note- Lunch will not be provided but a 1-hour lunch break will be taken during the day.
