On November 7, 2019, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hosting NASA and "A Space Technology Day" on campus that will bring together professors, students, engineers, technologists, and small businesses from around North Carolina and the region to engage on NASA's current and future space technology activities, opportunities for collaboration, and the Agency's plans for exploring the Moon, Mars and beyond.

The purpose of this face-to-face event is to:

  1. Provide information and guidance about opportunities from  NASA to researchers, students and business that can help support NASA's current and future missions and objectives.
  1. Connect NASA leadership to leading academic and commercial research and development capabilities
  1. Expose attendees to NASA's strategic technology investments that are paving the way for American leadership in the exploration of the Moon, Mars and beyond
  1. Forge new collaborations with colleagues at regional institutions and commercial entities

Presentations and discussions on this day will encompass primary R&D areas and opportunities through NASA programs covering:

Special events will include a keynote address by (invited) NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine, UNC Astronaut Zena Cardman, and presentations by Senior Leadership, opportunities for engagement with NASA program executives through breakout meetings, and extensive opportunities for networking with NASA peers and your research colleagues.
