What is Fake News? Where do you go to find information? What sources does your professor and other scholars use to back up their arguments? How do you know that it is a credible and accurate source? In this era of 'fake news', can you state the difference between bias and analysis? Just what is Information Literacy? Employers need new hires who are able to identify information needs, locate and access relevant information and critically evaluate and use a diverse array of sources ethically and legally. The Internet is vast. How do you find credible evidence?

Learn how to critically analyze text, images, and data. Workshop participants will also get information on how to quote, paraphrase, synthesize, and cite information appropriately.

Facilitator: Nancy Lovas, Entrepreneurship and Business Librarian, Davis Library

Light refreshments will be provided.
