In the wake of Hurricane Florence, the Carolina Center for Public Service, together with the university's campus and community partners, is organizing relief trips for staff, faculty and students who are willing to help with clean-up or who have specialized building and repair skills. The group will leave from UNC's campus at 7:30 a.m. and return by 6:30 p.m. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided. The exact location is to be determined, but transportation will be provided to eastern NC. Details about tasks and any specific clothing or supplies needed by volunteers will be communicated prior to the trip.

Note that for this and other relief trips, faculty and staff will be able to use any available Community Service Leave hours as outlined by Human Resources.
