There are many models and definitions for the flipped classroom. Regardless of the model used, flipping essentially means reversing the way you design the learning environment so students are engaging in activities, applying concepts, and focusing on higher level learning outcomes during class time. In this online workshop, you will be introduced to a 4-part lesson planning framework designed for flipped learning experiences. We will discuss how to align your learning outcomes, activities, and assessments to create effective and engaging learning experiences in online and in-person courses. Finally, you will create a flipped lesson plan and receive peer review feedback.
