|Introduction to Statistical Methods for Analyzing Longitudinal Data||Return to listing|
This one-day workshop will introduce the major elements of longitudinal analysis to address developmental questions in early childhood research. Three analytic approaches will be described – hierarchical linear models, latent growth curves with structural equation models, and latent class and profile approaches. Key aspects of longitudinal analysis include data structure, model assumptions, and model fitting. Participants will engage in hands-on exploration of data and modeling traditional and latent growth curves using HLM and Mplus software. The workshop is well suited for participants with some data analysis experience, especially regression analysis.
Each participant should bring a laptop with HLM and Mplus already loaded. Trial versions of these software programs are available from the software websites.
A Certificate of Completion will be available.
Note: If paying the registration fee by credit card, please have your card and its billing address handy for the payment processing to avoid a possible time-out. Thanks.
