Michelle Johnson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, will lead a workshop on how to deal with stressors unique to graduate students. She will discuss a range of topics from time management to self-care and mindfulness practices. She has vast experience working with graduate students both in her previous work experience at Counseling and Wellness Services at UNC-Chapel Hill and in her private practice.
Michelle will lead you through experiential exercises and provide tools for shifting your thoughts, feelings, and reactions to stressors. You will leave this workshop knowing how to assess where you are directing your energy, understanding how to prioritize, committing to self-care and balance in your life, and learning to broaden your experience with possibility instead of narrowing it with negative thinking.
Lunch will be provided.
