Hurricane Matthew relief trip Oct 6 Return to listing

  Description

The Carolina Center for Public Service, together with the university's campus and community partners, is organizing relief trips for staff, faculty and students who are willing to help with clean-up or who have specialized building and repair skills. This month's trip is to Lumberton, North Carolina, which is continuing to rebuild, one year after Hurricane Matthew. For details on what to expect and to complete required forms, visit UNC Disaster Relief Trips

The group will leave from UNC's campus at 7:30 a.m. and return by 6:30 p.m. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided. If you have any unique qualifications or skills in construction work, please provide that information to Becca Bender when you register.

Note that for this and other relief trips, faculty and staff will be able to use any available Community Service Leave hours as outlined by Human Resources. For more information on campus relief efforts, visit ccps.unc.edu/HurricaneMatthew. To sign up for the university's Hurricane Matthew Relief Listserv, send your name and email to ccps@unc.edu.
