  Description

This free webinar will address multicultural challenges inherent in the screening and diagnostic assessment of children with ASD and their families.  Information is based on current literature, parent perspectives, and clinical experiences.  Content will utilize presentation and discussion format.

Learning Objectives - Participants will:

  • Become aware of the discrepancies among various cultural groups in the early diagnosis of ASD
  • Deepen familiarity with the obstacles and barriers to obtaining diagnostic evaluations experienced by families from a variety of cultural backgrounds
  • Develop awareness of possible considerations when working with families during the diagnostic process
