Women in STEM Event, featuring Dr. Giselle Corbie-Smith

Dr. Giselle Corbie-Smith will be interviewed by Dr. Patricia Parker. A question-and-answer session with the audience will follow. The TEAM ADVANCE Women in STEM Series is open to all members of the University. Early-career women faculty currently participating in TEAM ADVANCE Peer Mentoring Circles are highly encouraged to attend.

Dr. Giselle Corbie-Smith is Kenan Distinguished Professor of Social Medicine, Director of the Center for Health Equity Research, and Professor of Internal Medicine in the School of Medicine. Dr. Patricia Parker is Department Chair and Associate Professor of Communication in the College of Arts and Sciences, and Senior Personnel with TEAM ADVANCE. 

The TEAM ADVANCE Women in STEM Series promotes visibility and achievements of women of color and white women in STEM fields across the University. Each Women in STEM event features a noted woman in STEM sharing her story, experiences, and success strategies.
