Last spring, students in Rachel Seidman’s course Women in the Public Sphere: History, Theory and Practice, decided to fulfill the requirements for a final project by asking their peers on campus, "Who Needs Feminism?" To their surprise, the world answered them. The project’s Tumblr blog has received more than 100,000 visits from 144 countries, and more than 17,000 people have "liked" their page on Facebook. For more information, see Seidman's op ed on the project in the Christian Science Monitor http://is.gd/n1I1cn
The event is free, but registration is required.
