Please join us for our annual Celebration of Inventorship, hosted by the UNC Office of Commercialization and Economic Development. During this event, we will recognize each of UNC-Chapel Hill innovators who received one or more U.S. patents during the 2017 calendar year. We will also honor an Inventor of the Year. This year's honoree is Mark Schoenfisch, Professor, UNC Department of Chemistry. Dr. Schoenfisch will talk about his work and his experiences founding companies.

Mark Shoenfisch earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Kansas and his doctorate in chemistry from the University of Arizona. He has spent his career at UNC-Chapel Hill and is currently a professor of chemistry. Mark’s expertise spans chemistry, biomedical engineering and pharmaceutical sciences. |
