TraCS is hosting this no-cost training to assist research teams in developing better data managers. We will review the data manager responsibilities, discuss techniques, and practice some of those using REDCap. Attendees are expected to have experience in using REDCap functions - design, reports, etc.

The Data Manager is responsible for the complete data process from design, to build, to quality control, to cleaning, and finally to archiving. The data manager oversees the process to ensure that things are consistently done in best possible way. In smaller research teams, where there's no one person dedicated to this role, it is often either overlooked due to the multitude of other pressing tasks, or parceled out as an extra duty amongst the research group.
