This course is framed by the four AP historical thinking skills of creating historical arguments, chronological reasoning, comparison and contextualization, and historical interpretation. Students will explore three major topics, including the Colonial Period and Slave Trade, Westward Expansion, and Immigration by focusing on scholarly research, primary source analysis, regional comparisons, and digital histories. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of the connections between AP United States and World History.
