|CTSA Conversations: Patient Centered Research: Before, During, and After PCORI at UNC||Return to listing|
Did you know that time may be short to secure PCORI funding? Congressional authorization for the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) Trust Fund, PCORI's sole source of revenue, extends until September 30, 2019. After that date, funding is uncertain. PCORI will only be accepting applications for new awards through the end of calendar year 2018, and dissemination awards through 2021.
PCORI brought forth a strong focus on patient-centered research and UNC has taken it to heart! But if PCORI no longer exists, what will the landscape look like for patient-centered research here at UNC? Join us for a conversation on "Before, During and After PCORI". Bring your experience, ideas, suggestions and questions.
Leading the conversation will be:
- Michael Kappelman, MD, MPH - Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology, School of Medicine; Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology, School of Medicine; Co-Director, CARES, NC TraCS
- Lori Carter-Edwards, PhD - Associate Professor, Public Health Leadership Program, School of Public Health; Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health; Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Health Behavior, School of Public Health; Co-Director, CARES, NC TraCS
- Alicia Bilheimer, MPH - Administrative Director, CARES, NC TraCS
In an effort to encourage a two-way dialogue and discussions around the UNC Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program at UNC, NC TraCS holds regular OPEN TO ALL information sessions.
CTSA Conversations provides an opportunity for faculty, staff, students and others from across the region to understand the goals of the national CTSA effort.
We invite you to share your views, ask questions, and engage with leadership regarding the UNC CTSA program and the services and resources we offer.
Come join in to share your ideas, suggestions, and questions!
Refreshments will be served.
